Karen has more than 25 years of experience in patient care in obesity and endocrinology, as well as research and public speaking. She manages nutritional care of patients, including diet assessment and instruction, and class curriculum.

He is the founder and medical director emeritus of the Endocrinology Clinic of Minneapolis where he worked for more than 30 years. He was also medical director of the OPTIFAST Program at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minn. A fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, Dr. Baumgartner is also an endocrinology consultant at Radiant Research.

|  | Judy Smith, LICSW Director of Patient Care Judy is a Behaviorist and the Clinic Director. She oversees patient case management from intake to discharge, does behaviorial assessments, and teaches behavioral lifestyle change while managing a multidisciplinary team of professionals. She has been treating patients with eating disorders, weight and other issues for more than 30 years.
