ADA Excellence in Practice Award
Karen Holtmeier,MPH,RD,LN, owner of Medical Weight Management Centers is the recipient of the first Excellence in Weight Management Practice Award from the American Dietetic Association. This award is sponsored by the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group (WM DPG) and was given to Karen at the first Weight Management Symposium held in Scottsdale, AZ.
This award recognizes Ms. Holtmeier's exceptional performance in weight management practice through client services, nutrition care process, evidence-based dietetics, communication/networking skills and program scope and impact. Karen's 28 years of dietetic service shows a lifetime of dedication to understanding obesity as a chronic disease.
